What is Wix AI?
Wix AI Website Builder is the evolution of the pioneering Wix ADI (Artificial Design Intelligence), the first AI-powered web design tool that Wix launched in 2016. In March 2024, Wix replaced ADI with a new AI Website Builder powered by ChatGPT/OpenAI, which allows users to create complete websites simply by chatting with AI.
Wix was founded in 2006 by Avishai Abrahami, Nadav Abrahami, and Giora Kaplan in Tel Aviv, Israel. The company has been trading on NASDAQ (WIX) since 2013 and has over 260 million registered users with $1.76 billion in revenue in 2024.
Important note: As of November 10, 2024, Wix discontinued support for ADI-created sites. ADI sites now open in the standard Wix Editor, and the new AI Website Builder offers a similar experience with more advanced technology.
